Drapery Workroom Services for Designers

Custom drapery, Roman shades and top treatments made to your specifications, from your fabric or ours, for interior designers across New Jersey and New York.

Contact Us

Designers looking for a drapery workroom want three things: work made to their specifications, a way to use their client's fabric, and one partner for hardware, measuring and installation. CMI's trade program covers all three for interior designers, architects and decorators throughout New Jersey and New York, with preferred trade pricing and dedicated project management from CMI's in-house team.

What the Trade Program Covers

Custom Fabrication

Drapery panels made from your fabric or ours, to your exact specifications.

C.O.M. Program

CMI calculates the yardage; you supply the fabric of your choosing from any fabric source.

Every Pleat Style

Ripple Fold, Pinch Pleat, Box Pleat, English Pleat, French Pleat, Unpleated and more.

Top Treatments

Custom upholstered cornices and valances, with a traditional welt or a modern knife edge.

Hardware & Motorization

Artisan hardware lines, plus motorized traverse systems from Lutron, Somfy and Forest Group.

Measured & Installed

Professional measurements and white glove installation, behind the scenes or with your client.

Made to Your Specifications

Start with the pleat. Ripple Fold draperies suit modern interiors; the Pinch Pleat gives a more tailored, formal look; and Box, English and French pleats or an unpleated heading are all available. CMI makes drapery panels to your specifications from your fabric or ours, and trade pricing also covers Roman shades, woven shades, motorized shades, shutters, blinds and outdoor shading. See custom drapery and hardware and Roman shades.

The C.O.M. Program

C.O.M. means customer's own material. Choose a fabric for your client from any fabric house or store; CMI gives you the yardage requirements, and you supply the fabric. The Spring Lake bedroom shown here has Roman shades and drapery side panels made from the client's own fabric.

Top Treatments, Hardware and Motorized Tracks

Upholstered cornices and valances finish a window when full drapery isn't the plan. For hardware, CMI keeps dealer accounts with Helser Bros., The Bradley Collection, Brimar, United Supply, Orion Art, The Finial Company, Deco & Deco, Houles, Kirsch and The Forest Group, in brass, steel, iron, Lucite or wood. Drapery can also be motorized with Lutron, Somfy or Forest Group recessed track systems. See motorized drapery hardware.
