About Monmouth Beach NJ
Monmouth Beach is a borough located in Monmouth County, NJ. As of the 2020 census, it has an approximate population of 3,230 residents. Although the area was first settled in 1668, it grew into a community when the Long Branch and Sea Shore Railroad arrived. Most early settlers were fishermen with Norwegian backgrounds. Monmouth Beach was incorporated as a borough in 1906 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature. The combination of being on the shore and in Monmouth County presumably is the origin of its name. Monmouth Beach is bordered by the Monmouth County municipalities of Little Silver, Long Branch, Oceanport, Rumson, and Sea Bright.
