Motorized window treatments can be either hard wired or battery operated. To outfit your home with hardwired shades, our specialists will consult and coordinate with your design build team to ensure your project is specified properly from wiring to pocket specifications.
Alternately, we also offer battery operated solutions. Battery powered shades are a great solution when the walls are already closed, as it eliminates the need for costly wiring or sheet rock repair work. Depending on the product battery life can range anywhere between 2 – 6 years. There are also rechargeable battery operated options eliminating the need to change batteries at all. Some even offer a solar panel to recharge the batteries so you never have to worry.
Our custom motorized shades, blinds, and draperies also help with your energy efficiency. Since window coverings manage heat gain and loss, motorized blinds and shades can significantly reduce energy costs by automatically raising or lowering at certain pre-programmed times of the day or in response to internal sun sensors.
