Belmar is a borough located in southern Monmouth County, NJ. As of the 2019 census, it has an approximate population of 5,625 full-time residents. What is now Belmar was originally incorporated as Ocean Beach, and after several changes to its name, it finally (in 1890) became the borough of Belmar.
