About Kenilworth NJ

Kenilworth is a borough in Union County, NJ, with an approximate population of 8,259 residents. It was incorporated as a borough in 1907 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature based upon the result of a referendum. Its name came from a literary society The Kenilworth Club which in turn was named in honor of the novel Kenilworth by Sir Walter Scott. The novel refers to Kenilworth Castle which is in Kenilworth, England. The borough is bordered by the Union County municipalities of Union, Roselle Park, Cranford and Springfield.
